Man in life-threatening condition after daylight shooting in Toronto's east end - Main and Gerrard

A man was seriously injured in a daylight shooting yesterday in the parking lot of Ted Reeve Arena at Main Street and Gerrard St. East.
Several callers reported hearing gunshots around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man with life-threatening injuries from several gunshot wounds.
Toronto paramedics transported the victim to hospital.
No information on suspects has been released at this time.
This incident is the second daylight shooting to occur in Toronto within a 24-hour span.
On Tuesday, May 26, 21-year-old Toronto rapper Dimarjio Jenkins, known locally as Houdini, was killed in what Toronto Police are saying appears to have been a targeted shooting.
A 15-year-old boy and 27-year-old woman were also shot and injured, both victims are expected to survive.
Emergency crews were called to the area of King Street and Blue Jays Way around 4 p.m. after multiple reports of gunshots.
There have been multiple other incidents of gun violence in Toronto over the month.
Including reports of people shooting at each other out of vehicles in the area of Warden Avenue and Danforth Avenue on Sunday, May 24.
One vehicle fled the scene prior to police arriving, while another vehicle was disabled.
Toronto Police Services report a victim, possibly linked to the incident, with serious injuries walked to a hospital shortly after reports of shootings had been made.
On the same day, a dispute involving a cyclist and motorist happened just before midnight in the Greenwood Avenue and Danforth Avenue.
According to police, a motorist fired multiple shots at the cyclist in a laneway before fleeing the scene.
The cyclist did not sustain any injuries.
